Sports / Swedish Massage

Massage is a general term for pressing, rubbing and manipulating the skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Massage can range from light stroking to deep pressure. At The Treatment Room I offer many different types of massage• Swedish massage. This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping. It helps you feel relaxed and energised.• Deep massage. This massage technique uses slower, firmer strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.• Sports massage. Using a range of soft tissue techniques which include soft tissue release, muscle energy techniques and neuromuscular techniques it's geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries but not specifically for those involved in sports.• Trigger point massage. This massage focuses on pressure points throughout the body to improve blood flow and promote relaxation to the area.
